What's On The Hooks...
While keeping the two grandkids a week or so ago, Fuzzy, the four-year-old, asked if I would make him an owl. I got out the crochet hook and some yarn. Within a few minutes I had crocheted a tiny little owl no more than four inches long. He was happy.
This past week when he came he asked me to make him a bear. We looked on line and finally decided on a Paddington Bear. I was actually looking for a pattern that I had made in the mid-eighties, but didn't find it. If anyone happens to have that pattern and doesn't mind sharing please let me know.
This is the best one I could find. It is a free pattern on Ravelry. You can find it under Yellow Pink and Sparkly by Janet McMahon. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/paddington-bear-2 I have all the pieces completed, but not all are sewn together. It's a very easy pattern.

Winner of the GYB giveaway...
Have been waiting on the two week mark since the GYB post. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and to those who decided to follow. I visited many, many blogs and hope to visit more in the future. I will reveal the winner at the end of the post.
I've been babysitting two of my grandkids a few days a week since Christmas while mom and dad work on the building of a new house. They are four and two. Four is a very fun age. They can say the cutest things while being perfectly serious. One evening I told them, "Let's go to the kitchen it's suppertime." Fuzzy, the four-year-old, threw his arms in the air and shouted, "Yes, it's suckertime. I love suckers." When I told him I didn't say suckertime he said, "Next time say it's foodtime and I'll understand." Luckily, I just happened to have two suckers, from Lord knows when, in the pantry, so it all worked out. I also learned something about myself. According to Fuzzy, I look better with my glasses on. I thanked him for the tip and wondered silently if pulling my glasses on and off in public was a good idea or not. Here is a "selfie" taken on his mother's phone and sent to me as they were driving home.

The two-year-old had to have glasses last week. While I was keeping him I noticed his eyes were crossing. After his mother picked him up she called and said she had noticed it too. It was rather severe. She immediately called for an appointment with a pediatric ophthalmologist.
After a few days of wearing them he refused to let his mother take them off when it was time for bed.
WINNER OF THE DRAWING IS:
ALEXIS BOORSBOOM
I will contact via email.
Thanks again to everyone who visited.
Have a great week!

Sex Party...
O.K., I'm on the computer just now trying to decide what to blog about when my I-phone pings, meaning a text just came in. I look at the text and see that it's from my youngest.
She writes:
Do you want to come to a sex party on June 30th?
A SEX PARTY?
Turns out my middle daughter is going to find out what she's having on June 29th. The sex party involves a cookout, a cake baked by youngest that is either pink or blue on the inside, and nobody(except youngest), not even pregnant daughter finds out what sex the baby is until the cake is cut.
O.K., I must admit, this sex party is starting to sound exciting. Oh, and did I tell you it's a "surprise sex party".
Have a great rest of the week!!!

Happy Easter & Happy Birthday...
We had a successful egg hunt yesterday despite the 2.5 inches of rain we were blessed with. We huddled under our umbrellas and waited on the clouds to break.
It didn't happen,
so, the eggs were hid, and the hunters hunted,
and prizes were claimed under a covered bridge.
Afterwards, we celebrated Fuzzy's 2nd birthday and Tallfeather's 7th birthday with a family party at "Texas Roadhouse."
The birthday boys.
The presents.
Happy Birthday!!!
It's hard to believe my little "Fuzzy" is two.
Have a great week!!!

Fuzzy Friday...
My hubby plays the piano. He will only play for me and it's always out of hymnals. Today as I was passing the piano I glanced at the song he had been playing and it spoke to my heart, so I thought I would share the first verse and chorus.
It may not be on the mountain's height, or over the stormy sea; It may not be at the battle's front my Lord will have need of me; But if by a still, small voice He calls to paths I do not know, I'll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in Thine, I'll go where You want me to go.
I'll go where You want me to go, dear Lord, o'er mountain or plain or sea; I'll say what You want me to say, dear Lord, I'll be what You want me to be.~~Carrie E. Rounsefell, 1861-1930
