The Rain Was Wonderful...
but once again we have a lake in our back pasture
and lots and lots of ducks.
It amazes me that so many ducks come to a place that is normally dry. I wasn't able to get a good shot of the ducks. Too far away.
Have a nice weekend!!!

Rain=Mosquitoes...
The much needed rain has been a blessing, but with it comes things you never missed. One example-the mosquito's. No rain usually means no mosquitoes, but just a mild shower can bring on a multitude of the nasty little buggers. Imagine the 6 inches we had recently.
Fuzzy may have to stay indoors a few days.
Have a great day!!!

Bits of Beauty...
When I went to visit my dad yesterday a lone Spider Lily met me beside the front step. It was a bit of unexpected beauty. The kind that takes your breath away.
and on the fence-more beauty.
It just goes to show what a good rain can do.
Have a fun Friday!!!

Our Tank That Isn't A Tank...
This is our back pasture. On any normal day of the year it is just that-pasture, but between yesterday and last night we received somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 inches of rain. This is our first real rain in an extremely long time. When I looked out this morning I saw 10-15 ducks swimming around in the water.
Praise the Lord for the rain.
Hope you have a day full of goodness!!!

Fredricksburg, Texas...
Shopping in Fredricksburg was wonderful as usual,
but hours and hours of shopping can be a little exhausting.
One of my favorite shops is Der Kuchen Laden. It's one of those great kitchen stores where you keep putting small items in your basket never realizing what the final total is going to be.
And then there's the yarn shop and The Christmas store, and the store with the cute little hens and rooster, and the store where you sample dips and salsas and fudge and... I left feeling like I had just had a seven course meal. Diet starts tomorrow.
We arrived home tonight in the pouring rain. A very welcome sight and one that we are thankful for.
Hope everyone has a super Sunday.

Rain, Rain, Don't Go Away...
It started late yesterday evening. The first in months. It continued throughout the night and is still raining this morning. Thunder and all.
Praise the Lord.
Brown, dead grass and one dead pine tree waiting on the rain.
Have a nice day!!!

Rain, Rain...
Thank you Lord for the rain today...
There is nothing like the smell of rain on dry, parched land.
Staying dry.
Have a blessed day!!!
