What's On The Hooks...

While keeping the two grandkids a week or so ago, Fuzzy, the four-year-old, asked if I would make him an owl. I got out the crochet hook and some yarn. Within a few minutes I had crocheted a tiny little owl no more than four inches long. He was happy.

This past week when he came he asked me to make him a bear. We looked on line and finally decided on a Paddington Bear. I was actually looking for a pattern that I had made in the mid-eighties, but didn't find it. If anyone happens to have that pattern and doesn't mind sharing please let me know.

This is the best one I could find. It is a free pattern on Ravelry. You can find it under Yellow Pink and Sparkly by Janet McMahon. I have all the pieces completed, but not all are sewn together. It's a very easy pattern.

Here it is in it's almost completed stage.

                  Paddington has black ears.

Have a great week!

  6. Oh, for a start I thought that was the funniest looking owl I have ever seen. But as for a bear, well he is just right :) I'm sure your little Fuzzy will love him.

  7. Lol! I guess I should have worded that a little different.

  9. Oh, how adorable! When I was about 4-years-old I went to a daycare that was called Paddington Day Care after the sweet bear :) Thanks for sharing at Roses of Inspiration - I hope you join us again next week. Hugs!
